Summer and Fall Adult Programs
ADULT SWEEPS ~ Men and Women
The Adult Sweeps program is an inclusive program focused on skill building for intermediate level rowers or people who don't want to commit to the racing program. Athletes work on further developing technical skills, endurance and basic racing strategies for the purpose of becoming a more skilled and fit rower. This program is HRRA’s finishing school for novices who want to work up to a competitive team and the home for “fitness” rowers and members who want to race casually. Prerequisite for enrollment on this team is a full novice summer or by permission of the coach. 75% attendance is encouraged.
NOTE: Race fees are not included in the program fees for this program. Sweeps athletes may attend any race our Advanced team attends, however a separate race fee will be assessed for each race attended.

Though we mostly focus on traditional Masters events (27 and older), we do accept athletes who are between 21 and 26 and will race these athletes in open or AA Masters events where available. Athletes enrolling on this team will commit to 2 regular season races (does not include Nationals, Worlds or the Charles) and may be given an opportunity to compete at up to 5 races each season. Prerequisite for enrollment on this team is two full seasons beyond your novice summer or by permission of the coach and completion of an erg test that will be administered at the coaches discretion. 100% attendance is recommended.
