HRRA Supports:

2013 HRRA MEMBERSHIP

Why join the Hudson River Rowing Association?

By joining the Hudson River Rowing Association as a member, program participant or donor you help provide a foundation of support for the HRRA Boathouse, the HRRA community rowing programs and the rowing community at large, including the eight local highschool and community programs that use our facility each year.

HRRA built, owns and operates the Hudson River Rowing Association Boathouse and will continue to support the Boathouse through donations, proceeds and the generosity of our membership and our programs ~ by becoming a donor and a member you help provide the additional support the boathouse and the rowing community require.

In addition to building and providing a home for every local rowing club (including the one you may already belong to!), HRRA provides:
  • personal boat owners a safe place to store their shells
  • training for hundreds of coaches through our apprenticeships and coaching and safety clinics
  • close to $5000 in financial assistance (scholarships and discounts) each year for families that need help to get their kids on the water.
  • scholarships whenever a regional athlete gets invited to national development camps
  • started up a local high school crew team as a result of HRRA programming
  • Collaborated with four scholastic crew teams to share the cost of equipment
  • Hosted a river sweep for nine years and the Balloon Festival for six!
  • Taught hundreds of people to row and provided rowing programs for women with cancer as well as blind and paralyzed athletes!

No other local rowing club has or continues to provide this much support to the entire rowing community.  Please donate and join Hudson River Rowing Association as a member in 2013 and help us continue supporting and giving to our community.

Register for sweep or sculling team and you automatically become a full, rowing member, but if you don't row you can still join as an individual or a family!
