HRRA is recruiting for coaches for the following Fall rowing programs and we hope you will consider joining our team this fall.
JUNIOR ADVANCED BOYS
The Advanced Junior Sweeps Program is open to rowers who have completed the 9th - 12th grade as of spring 2017, have competitive racing experience at the JV or Varsity level, or with the recommendation of a coach.
This is a competitive program which focuses on how to train, increasing the athlete's technical skill set and learning how to prepare physically and mentally for international competition.
DATES: September 6 - October 31
PRACTICE DAYS & TIMES: Monday, Wednesday & Thursday at 5:30pm, Saturday & Sunday at 7am (weeknight options may be negotiated)
The team will be representing the club at regattas throughout the fall season with athletes having the opportunity to compete in the following regattas:

Head of the Charles, Boston, MA -Saturday, October 21 and Sunday, October 22 (by lottery)
JUNIOR INTERMEDIATE (boys and girls combined)
The Junior Intermediate Sweeps program is designed for rowers who have completed a novice season through HRRA or through their scholastic team. The program will work on further developing their technical skills and endurance. The team will be representing HRRA at one regional regatta as part of the fall season.

PRACTICE DAYS and TIMES: Monday & Wednesday at 5:30pm, Saturday and Sunday at 7am (schedule may be negotiated)

ADULT ADVANCED
The Adult Advanced Sweeps Program focuses on racing at regional and national regattas. Rowers enrolling in this program will commit to two regular season races. Prerequisite for enrollment on this team is two full seasons beyond your novice year or by permission of the coach.

DAYS and TIMES: Tuesday/Thursday 5:30PM-8:00PM, Saturday and Sunday at 7am
ADULT INTERMEDIATE
The Adult Intermediate Sweeps program is focused on skill building and race preparation. This program is for rowers who expect harder training sessions in preparation for racing as well as those who want to build up training and racing skills in preparation to join the advanced team. Prerequisite for enrollment on this team is three full seasons of water time or by recommendation of the novice or recreational coach.

RECREATIONAL SCULLING
The Recreational Sculling Program is focused on skill building for beginner and intermediate- level scullers. Scullers who have graduated from a Learn-to-Scull program are encouraged to enroll in this program to further develop their skills. This program is also HRRA’s finishing school for novice scullers who want more time to work up to a competitive team. Prerequisite for enrollment in Recreational Sculling is completion of one or more Learn-to-Scull sessions or by permission of the coach.

PRACTICE: Tuesday/Thursday at 5:30pm, Saturdays and Sundays at 7am (weeknight options may be negotiated)
