ANDY MAUER
Andy began rowing many years ago for St. Joeseph's Collegiate Institute out of the West Side Rowing Club in Buffalo, NY. A decade later, in 1995, he returned to rowing on the West Side Masters team and started his coaching career as tje assistant men's coach for his alma mater. After moving to the Hudson Valley in 1997 he took coaching positions first at Spackenkill, then at Lourdes, where he coached the Varsity and novice men until 2013. Andy is a founding member of Hudson River Rowing Association and since 1998 has coached at all levels of the sport for HRRA. Andy is a US Rowing level 2 certified coach, has attended multiple coaching seminars for continuing coaching education and is strongly focused on technique and developing training plans. In addition to coaching, Andy currently rows and trains competitively with the HRRA masters advanced team.
