HUDSON RIVER ROWING ~ Rowing Programs 2008
HRRA is celebrating our 10th anniversary this year and we welcome new and returning members to our programs in 2008!
We switch gears in the fall, abandoning the hot and fast summer sprints in favor of long rows on cool, foggy mornings and 3 mile races on curvy rivers.
MASTERS A
Our Masters programs address a variety of athlete needs, focusing on skill-building and developing technical efficiency, speed and endurance. Our goal for athletes in this program is to develop athletes and line ups that are competitive on the regional and national level. Though we mostly focus on Masters events (27 and older), we do accept athletes who are between 19 and 26 and will race these athletes in open events where available. Athletes enrolling on this team will commit to 3 away races per season and may be given an opportunity to compete at up to 6 races each season. Prerequisite for enrollment on this team is two full seasons at the Masters B level or by permission of the coach.

Registrations are accepted until the program is full for all programs, except for advanced which stops accepting registrants two weeks after the first day of practice.
Registrations that are received after a program is full will be placed on a waiting list. If a spot opens up registrants will be given a spot based on receipt date of their registration.
If a program is not filled to its minimum capacity it will be cancelled and registrants will receive full refunds.
All registrations are made through www.regattacentral.com. Fall teams can all be found under the programs tab ~ HRRA is listed alphabetically.
Registrants will be notified of their program status through email immediately after the online registration and in a follow up email within the week prior to the start of the program.
SERVICE REQUIREMENT
We have instituted a "service requirement", all program enrollees are required to volunteer 3 hours per season that they are enrolled. You can bank up to 3 hours for the next season in a calendar year and you can volunteer as much as you want ~ we will recognize our "mega-volunteers" at our annual meeting each year and award one with a coveted "coach" parking permit! Volunteers who take on specific, critical jobs will be given a program credit for completing these tasks. Go to our Volunteer! page to learn more.
