PAT FURR SUSHI FEST 8 ~ Saturday, March 6
A Celebration and Fundraiser for HRRA Rowing Programs! Boats of Japanese food including sushi, sashimi as well as some non-fish items! A great way to learn about a healthy and delicious cuisine while helping HRRA celebrate a beloved coach and rower and raise funds for our equipment needs.
Where: Edo Sushi, Rte. 9, Hyde Park
When: March 6 from Noon to 3pm
$75 per person, $140 per couple (limited seating, reserve by February 28th)

HRRA River Sweep ~ APRIL 17- 9am to Noonish ~ REGISTER!
Rowers and non-rowers alike are invited to join HRRA and help clean up the grounds and plant some greenery around the boathouse as part of our annual riverfront clean up activities. HRRA will provide service letters for any Juniors who need them.

Five FREE opportunities to get a taste of what rowing offers as a recreational or competitive lifetime activity.

NATIONAL LEARN-to-ROW DAY
Saturday, June 5 from 9 to 11:30am
MASTERS TUNE UP
An on the water ramp up program for adult rowers who want to get their sea legs back before the summer season. Sign up for one or all four sessions! Upon registering you will be asked to fill out an online survey indicating which days you would like to row.
DAYS and TIMES: Tuesdays and Thursdays – 5:30 to 8pm
Saturdays and Sundays – 7 to 9:30pm
DATES: March 27 to May 31
FEES:
One Day - $80 ~ REGISTER
Two Days - $140 ~ REGISTER
Three Days - $180 ~ REGISTER
SPRING FITNESS TRAINING ~ REGISTER
A three to four day a week program designed as a sport specific training routine to develop balance, strength and endurance in preparation for the summer water season. The tools used will be ergs, plyo and fitness equipment supplemented by additional aerobic work (ie. running, tanks or an additional erg piece). This program is open to all HRRA adult athletes who want to hit the water in great shape and is HIGHLY encouraged for athletes who wish to attend Masters Nationals and Masters Worlds on the Masters A Team this summer.
FEE: $35
DATES: April 24 to May 30
GROUP PRACTICE SESSIONS:
Mondays and Wednesdays – 6 to 7:30pm
Saturdays and Sundays – 8 to 9:30pm
Ergs and plyo equipment are also available on Tuesdays and Thursdays for athletes who need to make up a session or can’t come on certain days due to other commitments. The training plan will be available through an online calendar once you are registered.
REUNION ROWS ~ REGISTER
The HRRA adult teams invite former rowers who want to get their feet back in a shell to join them for a row and brunch on the following days:
Dates: Saturday, June 12 and Saturday, September 11 from 7 to 9am
Rowing Experience at the high school or college level (no matter how long ago!) as well as participation in any adult club in the more recent past is all you need. Join us with no obligation and see what you have been missing!
LEARN-to-ROW SEMINAR ~ REGISTER
A four week, progressive introduction to the skills, techniques and training benefits of rowing as an indoor and outdoor activity.
FEE: $40
DAYS and TIMES: Tuesdays from 5:30 to 7pm
DATES: April 27, May 4, May 11, May 18
Graduates are invited to apply their new rowing skills in a boat with our experienced members on the morning of Saturday May 22 or take the plunge and enroll in one of HRRA’s Rowing 101 sessions or our Novice Sweep Team!
ROWING 101 (aka Learn-to-Row for all)
An eight session, on-the-water rowing class for curious athletes of all ages. HRRA coaches and rowers will introduce you to the unique experience of rowing with eight people just a few inches above the Hudson River. The goal of this program is to introduce the basic mechanics of rowing and provide a foundation of skills that can be built upon in the future. Upon completion of the course athletes are encouraged to move on to the Summer Novice program and Fall Novice/Intermediate program. Membership is not required to enroll in Rowing 101 and upon completion each athlete becomes a member of HRRA for the remaining part of the year.
Fee: $125 per two week session (BEST VALUE ON THE RIVER!)
Session One: May 10th to 22nd ~ REGISTER
Session Two: June 7 to June 20th ~ REGISTER
Practice Time: Mondays and Wednesdays from 5:30pm to dusk, Saturdays and Sundays ~7am to 9:30am
